- • Build and strategically develop a portfolio of 3–4 strategic partners (total volume approx. €100–150 million)
- • Analyze market and technology trends and identify new partnership and cooperation models
- • Define and implement strategic initiatives to expand the BU Engines portfolio through partnerships
- • Develop and implement sustainable business models with existing and new partners
- • Hold full profit-and-loss responsibility for the CKD/PSP business per partner portfolio (approx. €25–50 million per partner)
- • Take overall responsibility for licensing business with cooperation partners (trademark, production, sales licenses)
- • Independently lead strategic contract negotiations and maintain long-term agreements
- • Plan annual and mid-term partner requirements and conduct regular business reviews (RFC) with internal and external stakeholders
- • Monitor and optimize supply chain performance and continuously improve partnership processes
- • Standardize contracts and processes, systematically manage risks and opportunities
- • Provide functional leadership to 2–3 locally positioned DEUTZ contacts at partner sites (e.g., China, India, USA)
- • Act as the central communication and coordination interface between partners and internal departments (contracts, logistics, technical, commercial)
- • Report regularly to the Board, BU management, and the leadership team
What makes a good fit:
- • Degree in business administration, engineering, or a comparable qualification
- • Several years of experience in partner management, channel management, or key account management, including demonstrable P&L responsibility
- • Proven experience building and managing partner networks in an international environment
- • Experience independently leading strategic contract negotiations and basic knowledge of contract law
- • Experience with functional leadership of decentralized/international staff is a plus
- • Strong entrepreneurial mindset and understanding of commercial context
- • Strong communication and negotiation skills with confident presence at management level
- • Analytical, structured, results-oriented way of working
- • Intercultural competence
- • Very good written and spoken German and English
- • Team player, self-starter, willing to travel internationally
