Job Summary
The Electronics Technician will be an expert in diagnosing and repairing standby power generators and other electric supporting systems. The Electronics Technician will liaise with technicians, customers, and management. This role will assist in performing routine servicing, tests, and locating root issues. Additionally, the Electronics Technician will assist with identifying used parts availability. The ideal candidate must be an exceptional critical thinker, analytical problem solver, and an organized person to maintain equipment and service records.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Service, repair, modify and diagnose standby power generators
- Perform failure analysis, emergency field service, and repairs for customers
- Conduct start-ups, PM service, and load bank tests
- Maintain and repair ATSs (both regular and bypass units)
- Work on a variety of commercial/industrial customer sites
- Service a variety of brands of power generation equipment (Kohler, Cummins, MTU, Generac, CAT, etc.)
- Operate, drive, and maintain company service truck and parts inventory on truck
- Check/repair all supporting systems, such as fuel, cooling, and electrical systems
- Operate load banks and recording of instrumentation
- Clean, check, recondition, and determine the reusability of used parts
- Perform other job-related duties as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Individual Contributor
Travel Demands: Anticipated occasional local and domestic travel time as needed.
