POSITION SUMMARY:
The VP of Power Center Operations is responsible for leading the DEUTZ Power Center organization at the highest levels of effectiveness and efficiency by developing business and market strategies that drive continued rapid growth and profitability, engage and motivate employees, ensure employees are in the right positions, provide strategic, commercial and operational leadership, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. The position reports to the President and CEO of the Americas. Reporting into the position are Power Center service sales and regional operations and other positions as we define going forward.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The VP Power Center Operations will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Focus on protection of the DEUTZ brand through exemplary direct to customer service and sales support
- Develop the concept of “whole machine service”, capitalizing on the DEUTZ Power Center footprint and resource
- Develops and executes plans to serve new customer segments – including building the sales and operational capacity to unlock new customer relationships and deliver service in line with Deutz’ reputation for highest quality work
- Drive the strategic direction of the Power Centers including sales, service, operations, to achieve continued profitable high growth of the business
- Develop and implement strategic plans, consistent with and appropriate to the accomplishment of long range established objectives
- Develop action plans clearly outlining the tactical steps to take to achieve the business monthly, quarterly and annual and five-year goals
- Lead the business in maximizing profits with best possible coverage, pricing strategies, service programs, tech productivity and tech training
- Develop an organizational structure that is capable of efficiently meeting customer needs and achieving growth and revenue objectives
- Focus on improving safety, on-time delivery, quality, operating profit, inventory turns, cash flow.
- Effectively work with functions Sales, HR, Supply Chain, IT, Finance, to achieve power center goals
- Review all Profit and Loss Reports and adjust strategy as needed to improve operations
- Work with key management to execute programs and provides direction to respond in accordance with changes in business conditions and the company goals.
- Strategically design and implement operational and sales-driven excellence to deliver business results
- Execute plans within the market to achieve maximum sales and profit potential
- Recognize and capitalize on industry and market trends
- Lead sales function and direct activities including forecasting, management, and sales force development - Ensure that customers receive exceptional service by partnering with all levels of management and support staff to resolve issues and identify opportunities.
- Lead, manage and coach the Power Center team to in the creation and implementation of their development plans to build leadership pipeline for the business - Ensure that management team, sales and operations staff have the appropriate direction needed to perform their roles effectively and create a culture of growth. - Ensure coordinated leadership and consistency between regions within the organization.
- Develop, evaluate, and analyze new business cases for new business opportunities
Qualifications
- Highly organized and ability to wear multiple hats in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment; a driving force who manages toward clarity and solutions.
- A successful track record in setting priorities, shaping processes, guiding investment in people and systems, and developing an infrastructure that creates a stronger and more efficient organization.
- Thorough understanding of project management; able to work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines and goals.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to work with multiple departments and personalities.
Supervisory Responsibility
- Lead multiples teams
Travel Requirements
- Anticipate domestic travel of 30%
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 10+ years supervisory experience in service operations or related field
- Multi-team management experience
- Previous P&L responsibility
Preferred Requirements
- MBA, MAC or equivalent graduate degree
- Experience working with large national/regional equipment rental companies
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
