Job Summary
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Production Process Engineer will assist with planning and implementation of shop floor processes for component cleaning, inspection, remanufacturing, product assembly, and testing. The Manufacturing Process Engineer will also assist with development and implementation of lean manufacturing methods.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Production Process Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:

Plan production requirements for engine assembly line based upon production levels.

Research, create, and maintain production material system documentation (same as technical writer)

Research, create, and maintain production assembly BOM documentation.

Maintain production documentation.

Determine technical resources (tools, equipment, infrastructure) needed to accomplish engine assembly.
-
Support new fastener tooling run-off. Validate fastener tooling for application.
-
Support day to day operation as a technical resource.

Research, determine, and implement plant floor layout and operational methods.

Other duties as assigned.

Travel Demands: Anticipated domestic and international travel is approximately 0-10% depending on business needs.

Knowledge of and experience in manufacturing environments, including use of MRP Systems.

Knowledge of and experience with lean manufacturing concepts and methods
LANGUAGE ABILITY:
Read, analyze and interpret business, professional, technical or governmental documents. Write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers and the public.
MATHEMATICAL ABILITY:
Work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY:
Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
