POSITION SUMMARY:
The Manufacturing Process Engineer will assist with planning and implementation of shop floor processes for component cleaning, inspection, remanufacturing, product assembly, and testing. The Manufacturing Process Engineer will also assist with the development and implementation of lean manufacturing methods.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Manufacturing Process Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:

Create and maintain production documentation.

Determine technical processes for exchange parts and remanufactured assemblies.

Determine technical resources (tools, equipment, infrastructure) needed to accomplish engine remanufacturing.

Research, determine, and implement plant floor layout, material flow, and operational methods.

Perform time studies to determine optimum processes.

Research, develop and test tooling and fixtures for shop floor processes.

Uphold the company’s reputation by delivering innovative solutions while adhering to local and national regulations.

Lead and implement process improvements.
-
Perform other duties as assigned.

Travel Demands: Anticipated domestic and international travel is approximately 0-10% depending on business needs.

ADDITIONAL REQUIRED SKILLS:

Knowledge of and experience with industrial equipment and components.

Knowledge of and experience with industrial equipment assembly and testing.

Knowledge of and experience with industrial component machining operations.

Knowledge of and experience in manufacturing environments, including use of MRP Systems.

Knowledge of and experience with lean manufacturing concepts and methods.
LANGUAGE ABILITY:
Read, analyze, and interpret business, professional, technical or governmental documents. Write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and the public.
MATHEMATICAL ABILITY:
Work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY:
Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Manufacturing assembly and warehouse environment. Subject to noise, dust, diesel fuel, oil, and extreme hot/cold temperatures. No A/C.
