Job Summary
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Manager Operations Quality will be responsible for management, coordination and the execution of the Operations Quality functions at the facility in Norcross and Pendergrass, GA.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Manager Operations Quality will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:

Assuring the day-to-day quality in the production processes at the Production facilities Pendergrass

Active identification of potential production issues and the prevention of those
-
Development and maintaining relevant KPI’s in the most lean, durable and reliable form
-
Participation in the identification, analysis, tracking, follow up and cross communication (e.g. Supplier QA, CFT) of production issues
-
Ownership Control of non-conforming material process
-
Proactive support of production department in definition, execution and assuring of the production sequence and associated processes (Worker instructions, incorrect or defective parts processing, 5S, etc.)

Preparation, coordination and follow up of external audits
-
Ownership of tool calibration process
-
Moderation and coordination of PFMEA
-
Applying the Continuous Improvement, Lessons Learned and Lean Mentality
-
Participation in specific project team meetings (incl. DFM, KAIZEN events)
-
Global alignment and regular communication with DEUTZ AG counterparts (e.g. production)

Internal project responsibility
-
Participation and representation of the production quality in specific project team meetings

Cross Functional Responsibilities
-
Supporting the team work in the cross functional team responsibilities to reduce the overall failure rate and improve failure prevention
-
Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Will have direct reports.
Travel Demands: Anticipated domestic and international travel is approximately 0-10% depending on business needs.

ADDITIONAL REQUIRED SKILLS:

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

Sufficient SAP skills that support the necessary coordination activities in SAP .

Excellent computer skills and knowledge of computer software (e.g. MS office).

Ability to read drawings and processes an advantage.

Ability to use measuring equipment.

Open for the German language.

Ability to transfer between the Norcross and Pendergrass facility depending on Project or Production and Quality requirements.
LANGUAGE ABILITY:
Read, analyze and interpret business, professional, technical or governmental documents. Write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers and the public.
MATHEMATICAL ABILITY:
Work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY:
Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Manufacturing assembly and warehouse environment. Subject to noise, dust, diesel fuel, oil, and extreme hot/cold temperatures. No A/C.
