Job Summary
POSITION SUMMARY:
The System Administrator is ensuring the uptime and efficient use of our cross-business applications and IT systems in cooperation with vendors and the global IT organization at our parent company DEUTZ AG. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including maintenance and monitoring of hardware and software systems, vendor collaboration, 1st level user and testing support. The management of telecommunications (business cell phones & Teams telephony) and the technical support of facility security environment (CCTV, door access) is also part of this job.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our System Administrator will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
System/Network Administration
Most activities are carried out in close coordination and cooperation with the Global IT team:
- Installation and maintenance of servers, network devices, workstations, and other IT equipment like printers, scanners, conference room equipment.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues promptly.
- Manage backup and recovery procedures.
- Keep software and operating systems up to date and maintain security procedures.
- Install and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Work with business stakeholders to identify and implement together with vendors new cross business applications and systems.
- Configure applications to meet specific business needs and workflows.
- Develop and maintain documentation for application configurations, authorization concepts and standard operating procedures (SOP).
User Support
- Provide technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and software problems.
- Assist in the deployment and configuration of new systems and applications.
- Train users on the proper use of IT systems and cross business applications.
Other Duties
Stay up to date on the latest cross-business application trends and technologies.
Identify opportunities to leverage technology to improve business processes.
Participate in cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between business needs and IT capabilities.
Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A
Travel Demands: Anticipated domestic and international travel is approximately 10% depending on business needs.

MATHEMATICAL ABILITY:
Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY:
Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

- Our System Administrator works in the office area, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
- Visits in manufacturing assembly and warehouse environment necessary. Subject to noise, dust, diesel fuel, oil, and extreme hot/cold temperatures. No A/C.
