Job Summary

This role will positively influence and impact the organization by providing hands-on HR expertise and innovative solutions by partnering with business leaders execute HR strategies focused on talent management, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and employee engagement.

In addition, they will own programs that run across the broader HR team. To be successful in this role, you must understand business priorities and translate them into the highest impact work.

It is critical to gain the trust and respect of leadership and employees while pursuing positive organizational goals and objectives, and the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with both HR and staff at all levels of the organization. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The   HR Business Partner will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:

 

  • The ability to lead, develop, and inspire a team of HR professionals in a high growth, rapidly changing environment.
  • The ability to understand business goals as well as design and implement new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity, and development of HR within the company.
  • The desire and ability to be an influential and be credible HR leader within the team, including setting the tone and providing the necessary support, follow up, and leadership to ensure the team achieves desired results.
  • Solutions focused and be comfortable working in an environment which demands strong deliverables along with the ability to identify problems and drive appropriate solutions.
  • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of legal/regulatory requirements related to day-to-day management of employees across different states/regions.
  • Administer employee benefits programs and promote employee wellness initiatives.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified candidates into open positions.
  • Oversee the processing of all employment paperwork to include applicable background screening and other pre-employment activities.
  • Serve as point of contact for employees regarding benefits and leave of absence questions, Coordinate leave requests and work with third-party administrator.
  • Audit, maintain and update timekeeping records to ensure compliance and accuracy according to company policy, processes, and procedures; completes and submits all employee status changes for payroll, benefit, leave of absence and other related data according to company policy, processes, and procedures.
  • Manage annual performance management, merit and bonus processes, including providing training and support to functional leaders. Manage and administer exit processes and management of Exit Checklist Processes.
  • Leads regional DOT onboarding compliance and maintenance with support for corporate office

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

 

Travel Demands: Anticipated domestic and international travel is approximately 15% depending on business needs.

Bachelors preferred with an emphasis in Human Resources and/or two or more years of experience with broad knowledge of Human Resources functions preferred OR equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

Read, analyze and interpret business, professional, technical or governmental documents. Write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers and the public.

MATHEMATICAL ABILITY:

Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Compute rate, ratio and percent, and draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY:

Apply logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Deal with nonverbal symbolism (e.g., formulas and equations) in difficult phases. Deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
