**This position is a regional remote role and the candidate can be located in Georgia, Virgina, Florida, or South Carolina.** 

 

Job Summary

This Regional EHS Manager is responsible for supporting and overseeing environmental, health, and safety programs across multiple locations within the region. This role ensures all assigned sites comply with OSHA, EPA, and state regulations while driving continuous improvement.

The manager conducts audits, monitors individual facility compliance, tracks and trends for individual and regional performance metrics, provides training and partners with site leaders to identify risks and implement corrective actions. The regional EHS supervisor also promotes and helps to drive a strong safety culture through coaching, communication, and employee engagement initiatives. This role requires regular travel to regional facilities to provide on-site support and maintain corporate EHS standards.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support and oversee EHS programs across multiple facilities, ensuring compliance with federal OSHA, EPA, FMCSA/DOT and state/local regulations and consensus standards
  • Conduct regular assessments to identify gaps in regulatory and corporate EHS compliance across assigned sites. Develop, implement, and oversee corrective programs or process improvements to close identified gaps, ensure sustainable compliance, and reduce operational risk.
  • Partner with site leadership to verify effective implementation, track progress, and drive continuous improvement in EHS performance
  • Conduct field inspections and assessments to ensure a safe work environment
  • Lead incident investigation, root cause analysis corrective action plans for accidents, incidents and near misses and maintain accurate reports and documentation
  • Track and trend individual and regional safety performance based on Company annual targets and identify gaps, barriers, resources needed and corrective measures when facilities are not on-track to meet targets.Collaborate with site leaders and project teams to integrate safety into daily workflows.
  • Partner with site-level leadership teams to develop, implement, and continuously improve safety initiatives. Provide coaching, guidance, and technical expertise to ensure alignment with corporate and regional EHS strategy
  • Drive employee level engagement in safety initiatives through communication, recognition and support of site level and regional safety programs.
  • Foster a strong safety culture, and support effective execution of programs such as hazard recognition, risk reduction, compliance management, and incident prevention

Other Qualifications

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT state/local regulatory requirements.
  • Understanding of MSHA regulations
  • Proven track record in developing and delivering site specific safety training
  • Understand hazardous materials management, waste handling, and emergency response planning.
  • Ability to recognize air, noise or industrial hygiene hazards in field assessments
  • Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and commitment to safety excellence.

Travel Requirements

This position does require overnight travel.

 

Minimum Requirements

· Proven experience overseeing assigned regional sites

· 5+ years of progressive EHS or safety leadership in manufacturing.

· Experience conducting safety audits, incident investigations, and root-cause analysis.

· Demonstrated ability to train and influence employees at all levels.

· Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

 

Preferred Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree is occupational safety, environmental science, industrial hygiene, engineering or related field.

· Professional safety certification

 

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
