Customer-Oriented Engineering & Solution Development
- Primary contact for technical customer requirements and feedback from the Customer Success teams
- Ensure the development and delivery of fast, reliable, and practical technical solutions through regional application teams
- Guarantee that technical solutions are economically viable, feasible, and strategically aligned
Project Prioritization & Execution
- Act as the interface between the Business Unit, central R&D, and Project Management to effectively prioritize technical projects
- Align development initiatives with strategic business goals and customer needs
- Manage external engineering service providers when internal resources are insufficient to meet deadlines
- Ensure technical projects are delivered on time and within budget
Product Portfolio Development & Technical Strategy
- Drive the technical evolution of the product portfolio based on customer feedback
- Ensure technological advancements align with the long-term strategy of the Business Unit
- Promote new technologies and innovations to strengthen competitiveness
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Strategy, and R&D to identify new product opportunities
Leadership & Management of Regional Application Teams
- Lead and develop regional engineering teams with a focus on resources, tools, and expertise
- Foster a collaborative, customer-focused engineering culture
- Ensure technical teams effectively support customers with product integration, troubleshooting, and technical inquiries
What sets you apart:
- Several years of experience in a senior technical role, ideally in the (defense) industry
- In-depth technical expertise as well as experience in product development and project management
- Strategic and solution-oriented mindset with a strong customer focus
- Proven experience in leading and developing technical teams
- Ability to collaborate across functions, including Sales, Strategy, and R&D
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
