Job Summary

The Dyno Operator will be responsible for Dyno testing DEUTZ remanufactured industrial diesel engines according to established procedures and instructions. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

The Dyno Operator will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:  

  • Prepare finished engines for dynamometer test. 

  • Perform engine dynamometer test using facility dynamometer systems 

  • Operate dynamometer control and data acquisition systems 

  • Use lift and hoist equipment to move engines and parts. 

  • Use care and attention when handling engine components. 

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot dyno failure problems, perform all repairs to pass dyno and make all critical adjustments. 

  • Repair or replace broken or faulty parts and fix issues (e.g. leaks) 

  • Skillfully use hand, air and electric power tools   

  • Skillfully use torque tightening tools such as torque wrenches   

  • Maintain attention to detail under varying circumstances. 

  • Maintain neat, clean, and safe work environment. 

  • Other duties as assigned.

Travel Requirements 

  • Anticipated domestic and international travel is approximately 0-10% depending on business needs. 

 

Minimum Requirements 

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent  

  • Experience in manufacturing environment   

  • Experience with troubleshooting engines and components  

  • Basic computer skills; data; ability to navigate Windows  

Preferred Requirements  

  • SAP Knowledge  

Physical Requirements: 

  • Manufacturing assembly and warehouse environment.  Subject to noise, dust, diesel fuel, oil, and extreme hot/cold temperatures.   No A/C.   

  • If the employee is located in the office area, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
