Job Summary
Our Business Development Manager will be responsible for maintaining and growing the DEUTZ business at OEMs while maintaining a prosperous business relationship and executing business growth strategies. The Business Development Manager will liaise with our Sales Director, OEM Customers, Sales, and other departments to drive measurable results that benefit the DEUTZ business, product, and brand. The ideal candidate must master customer relationship management with the ability to build long-standing and successful relationships with key clients. Additionally, the ideal candidate must be knowledgeable in sales strategies with the ability to implement an effective sales approach that expands our reach, strengthens client relationships, and trains our sales professionals. The ideal candidate must also have an outgoing attitude and enthusiasm for DEUTZ and its growth potential.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Build strong relationships at all levels and departments at assigned OEM customers.
• Formulates plans and strategies to maintain and grow our business penetration at current and targeted OEM customers.
• Develop sales budgets, forecasts, and plans as requested.
• Maintains extensive face-to-face contact with current, targeted, and end users.
• Communicate internally and externally the DEUTZ sales goals and objectives at all levels.
• Compares, sizes, and selects engines for applications.
• Negotiates supply agreements that offer benefits to our organization.
• Provides detailed commercial proposals to customers.
• Operates as the lead person on all meaningful discussions irrespective of the business area at assigned OEM customers.
• Maintain and grow profitability at assigned OEMs or segments.
